Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of socketlist.com and anything you buy from Socketlist, a small independent business operated by Aaron Dunn. By using the site you agree to them.
Directory content
Listings and scores are generated from public data and automated signals (maintenance, security hygiene and adoption). They are provided for information only and are not a security audit, endorsement or guarantee. Always review a server's code, permissions and licence before connecting it to real data. Third-party projects belong to their respective owners.
Paid listings
Featured, Premium and Sponsor placements are monthly subscriptions billed through Stripe until cancelled. You can cancel any time; cancellation stops future renewals and placement ends at the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law or if we fail to provide the placement. Paid placement never changes a server's score. We may decline or remove listings that are misleading, malicious or unlawful, and will refund any unused prepaid period in that case.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under its own terms. You agree to provide accurate billing information. Prices and offerings may change, but not for orders already paid.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site: no unlawful activity, scraping that degrades the service, attempts to break security, or infringing content.
Intellectual property
The site design, text, and branding belong to Socketlist. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Disclaimers
The site and products are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Socketlist is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the business is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
